About Membership
The association takes membership system. The color forecasts are distributed to members only.
Regular memer has three types of divisions as follows.
- Women's wear member
- Men's wear member
- Industrial products & Interior member
Membership Fee (Annual Fee)
- Women's wear member 120,000JPY
- Men's wear member 120,000JPY
- Industrial products & Interior member 120,000JPY
Membership fee, postal fee and bank charge are required annually .
Membership services
Women's and Men's members receive 2 seasonal color forecast palettes in the division of their choice and Fashion goods color forecast palettes are added to them. KIMINO color is added only to Women's wear members.
Industrial products & Interior members receive 1 yearly color forecast palette. Forecasts are released about 14 to 18 months in advance of the selling season.
Color forecast palettes consist of three types according to the issued time.
- JAFCA Advance color
- JAFCA Fashion color
- JAFCA Up trend color
"Advance color" is the earliest forecast for the season and the colors are made of painted cards. "Fashion color" is a main palette in the forecast, which usually dyed in real materials such as several kinds of fabrics. "Up trend color" is the final palette, which colors are selected as promotional colors in the fields or they will have very important role for the season.
- Seasonal magazine "Fashion Color" on fashion color trends and color movements (4 times in a year)
- Members receive discount to join seasonal color seminars, special lectures and educational programs held by the association.
- Members have the right to join the committees of Cosmetics and Automobile. (Automobile color study committee is only for car makers)
Additional committee's annual fee; members who join the committees are required extra fee.
- Cosmetic color study committee 90,000JPY
Cosmetic committee hold 4 or 5 times study meetings in a year, seminars on fashion movements or other specialist lectures, annual color research report on cosmetic products such as lip, eye and hair dye colors, color forecasting meeting and receive 1 yearly forecast palette. - Automobile color study committee 90,000JPY
Automobile committee also hold 4 or 5 times study meetings in a year, specialist lectures, annual color research report on body color in Japanese domestic market and forecasting meeting and its annual forecast palette for body color ( About 3 to 4 years in advance of the selling year).

On your application, we send you the invoice by fax or mail.
Payment by a remittance in Japnanese yen to our bank is required.
On your remittance, we are sure to send you the pubicaions timely and regularly.
