AKB-kei style is abbreviated name of Akihabara fashion style.

Akihabara is the place name located in middle of Tokyo, and well known as electronics district.

There are many unique kinds of people in Akihabara such as female idle group “AKB48” that acts in there, "Cosplay(costume and roleplay)", street female performers called “Rojo-idle” (means street idle) and so on. They have created a furor in Akihabara instead of group of maniac of electronic or animation.

Street idles appear and starts their performances without notice in Akihabara. But, their exuberant fans rush over to theirs and dance called in frenzy with their performances.

Their dance is called “Otagei” which means the performance of exuberant fans of street idles.
